The Mount Olive Township Senior Citizen Bus is available free of charge for Senior Citizens (age 55 and older).  Although your generosity is appreciated, please do not offer any gratuity to the driver.  Senior transportation is provided by municipal tax dollars, and the offering of a tip may present the appearance of impropriety.

The bus operates Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM except when municipal offices are closed.  However, there is no medical transportation between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM.  Please do not schedule any doctors’ appointments between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM.  A monthly calendar is published with exact destinations and pick-up times. • Medical and Health Services. Priority is given to medical transportation. Medical transportation is limited to Mount Olive, Roxbury, Chester, Dover, and Hackettstown. One week’s notice is required for all medical appointments.  Individuals transported on an on-going basis  (e.g. therapy or dialysis) must reconfirm their transportation needs at the end of every month.

• Food Shopping.

• Shopping at area Malls.

• The Nutrition Site at the Senior Building. Check the Budd Lake Calendar or Flanders Calendar for the days when transportation is provided. You must call the Nutrition Site at least 24 hours in advance to reserve your meal.  On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, call (973) 448-7474.  On Tuesday and Thursday, call (908) 879-6837. 

• Monthly Health Seminars.

• Senior Citizen Meetings/Social and Recreational Activities.

• Social Services, on an as needed basis.
